Yes. Our tutoring framework consists entirely of one-on-one private sessions, which allows us to provide a flexible tutoring plan based on a student’s testing strengths and weaknesses.
  • Should I take the SAT or ACT?
Great question! Both the SAT and ACT are widely accepted by colleges and universities in the US. The best way to decide which test to take is to consider your individual strengths and preferences. Ultimately, most colleges accept both tests equally, so choose the one that best showcases your skills!
  • Is there any special software needed?
No. We use fully licensed version of Zoom. There is no special software to purchase.

We strive to use study materials from actual, previously-administered exams so that practice is no different than the real thing. "We practice from the real thing, so when we take the real thing it's no different than practice." This goes for any subject we are working in.
  • Can I receive a copy of the session?
Yes. All sessions are recorded and can be sent to the student and/or parents for review.
  • How long does it take for my child to see improvement?
The amount of time it takes to improve a test score varies depending on several factors, including: Initial score: Students starting with lower scores typically see greater improvements. Amount of tutoring: More frequent and consistent tutoring leads to faster progress. Individual progress: Each student learns at their own pace; some may progress faster than others. Test type: Different tests, like SAT or ACT, require varying levels of preparation. Student effort: Students who actively engage in tutoring sessions and practice outside of class see better results. On average, We suggests committing to a minimum of 3-6 months of tutoring to see significant score improvements. However, this timeframe can vary, and it's important to set realistic goals and celebrate progress along the way.
  • What about colleges going test-optional?
Whether or not to take the SAT depends on your individual circumstances and goals. Many colleges and universities have adopted test-optional policies, meaning they do not require applicants to submit standardized test scores like the SAT. However, taking the SAT can still have benefits, such as: Some colleges may still require or prefer test scores Scholarship applications may require test scores It can demonstrate your academic readiness and strengths It can be used for placement or academic advising purposes Consider your college choices, research their testing policies, and discuss with a school counselor or advisor to decide whether taking the SAT aligns with your goals.
Our experience with Richard was wonderful. He is a solid SAT tutor. He is young and easy for students to relate to. He is very good at what he does and always positive and motivational.  I highly recommend him.
