Hi, I am Richard,
the founder of Carmel Valley Test Prep
I attended NYU School of Engineering where I received both my Undergraduate and Graduate degrees (Summa Cum Laude). I received the Myron Rosenthal Masters Award for the highest academic achievement in a Masters Degree Program.
Noticing the gap between industry and academia, I went back to the university as a Professor for the graduate school at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. In 2018, US News & World Report ranked NYU’s Graduate engineering program No. 8 in the nation.
I founded Carmel Valley Test Prep with the vision of helping students achieve perfection. Since then we have helped hundreds of students achieve near perfect scores on the SAT, ACT, and AP Exams.
I love teaching because it allows me to inspire and empower others to learn and grow.
I am also a professional close up magician, specializing in performing sleight of hand. Just as magic involves creating illusions and amazement, teaching can involve engaging and inspiring students with new ideas and concepts. Both magic and teaching require a combination of skill, creativity, and dedication in order to effectively capture the attention and imagination of an audience.
